Catoctin Creek Park Planning

(A joint project of the Youth & Recreation Committee and the Environment Committee of the Jefferson Ruritan Club to assist the Frederick County Department of Parks and Recreation)

The objective is to prepare a park master plan (a guide to future development which indicates proposed facilities and their locations).  

The property is located on Sumantown Road and Catoctin Creek. 

Stephen Crum ( scrum@mhgpa.com ) is our representative on the committee formed by the Frederick County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Note the section "Catoctin Creek Park Master Plan".  Don't confuse it with the Jefferson Area Community Park described a few paragraphs above it.

NEWS

On May 9th the Frederick County Parks and Recreation Commission voted unanimously to recommend to the Board of County Commissioners the master plan as presented by the Master Plan Committee and also the name Catoctin Creek Park.

The presentation of the proposed master plan for Catoctin Creek Park has been put on the agenda of the Planning Commission for Wednesday June 20th at 3:00 pm in the first floor conference room at Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, Frederick.
