Jefferson Streetscape Task Force
Citizens working with government.
June 15, 2006
Dear Citizens and Property Owners of Jefferson:
Your Jefferson Streetscape Task Force invites you to attend an important public meeting to discuss the latest engineering design proposal for road improvements, which follow a two mile stretch of Maryland route 180 from Valley Elementary School eastward to Old Holter Road. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29 in the Jefferson Ruritan Community Center.
The engineering design is available for viewing in the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department. Please ring the buzzer on door for admittance. Also, please read the background information on the following page. Questions may be directed to me, Jim Carpenter (301-371-5263) or to David Phillips, the SHA Project Manager (1-888-228-5003 ext.8823)
It is important that we in the Jefferson
community work quickly to obtain the approval of every affected property owner
regarding this latest engineering design proposal. Otherwise, we risk
delaying or even losing the next phase funding needed to begin construction on
our Streetscape improvements.
James F. Carpenter
President, Jefferson Streetscape Task Force
